Established in 1996 in Battle Creek, Michigan, Arcadia Ales continues to carve out its niche in the craft beer community with world-class, medal-winning ales brewed with a British inspiration and American style. Our new $7 million riverfront brewery, pub and kitchen facility in Kalamazoo, Michigan continues our distinctive open top fermentation tradition and proprietary yeast strain, and includes a 50 barrel Sprinkman Brewhouse, a Lambrechts keg filler and cleaner from Belgium, and a Krones 12/22oz bottle filler from Germany.
The combined production capacity from both Battle Creek and Kalamazoo locations in 2016 will be over 25,000 barrels, and the riverfront Brewery, Pub & Kitchen in Kalamazoo was built for a future expansion to 60,000 barrels annually. Arcadia produced and sold over 15,000 barrels out of its Battle Creek facility in 2015, which was running at maximum capacity. The combination of these two facilities allows our brewing team the space to get creative in Battle Creek, and even more space to produce our mainstay products in Kalamazoo.
Celebrating our 20th anniversary we are continuing to produce British-inspired ales that are defined by this style of beer production, utilizing a cunningly simple machine that reflects over 250 years of world-class brewing heritage. This includes our IPA which won a Silver Medal at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival for Classic English Style Pale Ale.
